not hearing speakers in noisy echoey rooms, drove me to get an aid. i also suffer from annoying buzzy tinnitus on the bad ear. with audien, i could learn aids, and won't break the bank if I move on. my bad ear is labeled moderate loss and good ear at 'mild' loss, using online hearing tests with audio generators mostly high freq, i set my bad ear to closely match my good ear, as best possible. it corrected those problems and best in none echoey noisy rooms but I can hear speakers well than without it, and it fixed my tinnitus! it still there but volume is down enough that I can ignore it when it comes. since R &L aids are identical, I have a spare and alternate between them. charges in 25min for my setting after intial 3 hr charge. 6 mo use. very comfy as its small that I forget its sometimes there, and have taken showers with it by mistake causing noisy feedback until dried. wear it as soon as I get up the morning. i am still very open to other aids the optimize my hearing but it can't hurt to try this as it if works. the hi freq adjust barely does anything except past 3 oclock, and 12 oclock to zero does nothing for bass enhancement. I was able to dial volume from initial 75% [ about 3 oclock] to 40% [11 oclock] and haven't changed it since, this sets my bad ear slightly weaker than my good ear, but I no longer have it too loud ever on the bad ear, and adjusted the volume by feel after set equal on both ears initially by the hearing test.
