Hi all, I am new to hearing aids, sudden hearing loss 3 months ago. After several hearing aid clinic visits I am looking to buy a Widex Allure RIC RD hearing aids, but I wish to DIY program, and avoid lengthy and possibly repeated trips to a clinic.

My search landed me here and it appears that Widex Compass GPS 4.8 software will enable this, is that correct? and will this require the Noahlink?

Where can I get this software?

Welcome to the forum @Dozer unfortunately you can’t DIY the Allure platform as it’s cloud based programming only, any other brands you might like to consider? Also older moment and smart from Widex can use compass and Noahlink wireless.

I could use another brand. So far, and I have only tried four HA, the widex sounded the “warmest”. I have upper frequency loss and the HA are very brassy. My nerve to control harsh sound is damaged. I live in the mountains so access is a hassle, hence the DIY. I will continue to try other brands to see how they work for me.

I am intending to purchase the widex moment 440, and the noahlink wireless 2, and use the compass GPS 4.8 software (Assuming I can get a link to download software)

This trio will work for DIY programming correct?

Hi there @Dozer great your giving DIY a go, be sure to read the user guides before starting and sure the Noahlink wireless will be suitable, you could use older version 4 for those older models.
