Another Target Fitting question to help understand concepts better.
I just decided to try NAL 2 again. Was unable to totally overcome annoying sibilance especially in the left ear, with the -V5.
So this is a reset fitting, to target with the NAL 2
I raised all levels by 3dB both ears equally just because the default seemed very low in calm, tv and phone. I raised the levels in those three modes.
But look at the graphs. Why don’t the left and right themselves, coincide the curve more? Why does the dip coinciding with better hearing, not align with the audiogram for each ear?
Also - why are the Media and Phone specifically different curves at some points.
Can someone please help me to understand the theories on this?
