OMG, I didn’t even know those existed!! That would be a huuuuge help!!
Myriad options here at Amazon9. Now WHY aren’t they used by medical profs?
Yes, I also bring my bulletized list of issues to my doc. Most of them get annoyed like I’m gonna waste their time sharing it, but there are a few who take the time to go over my issues/concerns first, then do the exam and deliver their diagnosis & treatment.
She tested me. Then arranged an . SHES responded to another specialist. I haven’t heard from that one. I’m anxious for help there. I would be happy if there’s pharma help.
Meantime I’ve become wobbly in the several years since I had a heart procedure.

Well, that’s another important thing to bring up and get help with. Besides whatever testing is necessary to try and figure out the cause, you surely need physical therapy to help with strengthening, balance, and gait issues.
Isn’t aging wonderful! Well, it is if you consider the alternative.
Philip Roth, the well-known author, once said, “Aging isn’t a battle, it’s a massacre!” And he would know, as he went through a lot before he died.
Funny (peculiar) thing is I had a nurse from the Philippines, who didn’t know him as an author, due to not being from the US originally. But when he died, it came up on her news feed, and she was shocked to realize how well-known he was! I was seeing her in this time. She was working in the Cardiac ICU, and he was her patient. Small world.
On the wobbly issue, I have a PhD in falling, due to issues from the Lyme, etc. having caused awful, horrifically painful neuropathy. So a word to the wise, get help before you have issues falling! It’s no fun. I’ve been to the ER too many times to make sure I had no brain bleeds.
That’s good that it is clear for C and MS. But, ugh, that you fell. You should ask for an rx for physical therapy.
I should take my own advice on that, as I’ve gotten a number of rxs for PT and haven’t followed through, because I have had too much else going on. But it really helps, even if slowly and incrementally.
Yes, well, as with everything else, there are good ones and bad ones and all in between. Be sure to do your exercises at home. I’m sure that you know the drill.
One I wish people knew, just because I’m wearing hearing aids, doesn’t mean I can hear you, even if you’re sat next to me. in fact sometimes I can hear worse with them in
Thank you for sharing this! I don’t know how many times my wife has said something to me while walking away from me or from another room and expects me to hear her. I only have mild loss at the high end right now and will be fitted with a soon. The thing is for years she said I needed hearing aids or I have selective hearing. I’m sorry but even with good hearing it is hard to hear what someone is saying as they walk away from you.
I try to explain to people without hearing loss that I have to sort of listen to everything all the time like sonar, and when there is something that I really need to listen to I have to focus on it to truly hear it.
Another one is when we ask someone what their said it is not always because we didn’t hear them the first time, it’s for clarity
That’s good that you’re seeing a specialist, slow as the process may be.
Question: Do you often forget words and names (I do—it’s maddening!)? Or do you have trouble with remembering what you just read? I do, also frustrating. Although in my case, I have to take pain meds at night, and they really cloud my memory.
There are lots of other possible symptoms of cognitive loss, even if it is low level. Aging is tough! But thinking of what you experience and writing it down for the doctor would be really helpful. Along with any questions and concerns.
Another word to the wise is that Tick-Borne Diseases, which may have not been diagnosed or treated often cause all of the above and much more! Ask me how I know?!
ticks sometimes carry Lyme Disease. I have it. But I’m very lucky. They are little insects. They bite and draw blood. We didn’t used to have ticks here.
They came north. So did lymedisease.
My dog’s vet treated dogs and animals for Lyme disease I wish she was alive still
