Hi all,
I am a computer programmer/tech nerd. I’ve had hearing aids for 37 years and I’m just now getting started with hearing aid programming because I am always traveling outside the USA, and audiologists that really support the Resound brand is limited.
I have a pair of ReSound Vivia 9 hearing aids which I just got this past month. I’ve confirmed are equivalent to the OMNIA 961 DP model, and I have a Noahlink Wireless programmer ready to go.
My goal is to fine-tune or disable some of the -based features like automatic environmental switching, as I prefer more manual control in noisy environments. Sometimes it sounds like my audio is coming through a multi-mic, or worst.
I understand I’ll need the latest versions of the ReSound Smart Fit software, but I haven’t had any luck finding a public download. If anyone is willing to share it via DM, I’d be incredibly grateful.
Thanks for your help, and for all the great info shared here - it’s been a huge help getting started!

Hi there, great your giving a go, be sure to do some research and read the user guides before starting as it’s very helpful for setting up the first time, as you have the Noahlink wireless I’m sure you’ll be up and running in no time.

The new Jabras are equivalent to the ReSound Vivia, so it’s the latest tech.
As for the switching between modes, it’s not . Read the ReSound white papers on all-around and hear-in-noise modes. In SmartFit, you can select the microphone modes for each program. There is a lot of switching that takes place based on the noise environment that isn’t AI.

Indeed. In fact the is used only in the Hearing in Noise mode and then only if “Intelligent Focus” has been selected on SmartFit as the directionality mode to use in the Hearing in Noise program.
What it does is use the AI to determine where speech is coming from and then steer the four microphones accordingly. The switching between settings in All Around is the Environmental Switcher and nothing to do with the AI which is not even switched on then.

Hello tenkan,
You have already helped me with Genie 2 & Oticon .
After experimenting for few days, I have to conclude that Oticon Real 2 have a problem with the receiver ( I only have one, left/blue HA, that I have purchased on eBay).
I have another HA (also left, Resound Verso 9) that I would like to connect to, possibly reprogram to my needs, and experiment some more.
If you could help me with Resound fitting software an associated information (Resound fitting guide and the video guide) i will truly appreciate
Sincerely,
Andrew

Hi there, great your giving a go on the ReSound models, I’m sure you’ll notice a big difference between those and the Oticon, ReSound are a favourite of mine and the Verso is still as good usable model

Hello. Long time reader, first time poster. Great to see such a welcoming forum! I also need the SmartFit software and manual to go with Jabra Enhance Pro 30 which I am told is the same as the ReSound Vivia 9. I want to make sur that the program works on my laptop and then I will order the Noahlink. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum, great your giving a go, be sure to do some research and read the user guides before starting, and yes they are exactly the same in all but name, you don’t mention what your PC is but if your using win10 or 11 just go ahead and get your Noahlink wireless programming device.
