Yes, but an external receiver won’t fit on my Marvels. It is a rechargeable version. So it looks like if I want direct connectivity, I will have to buy iN mics. That’s what I was priced on (see above)

Still learning how to best use it. My work environment is somewhat orderly and respectful and it seems to work very well in small groups. However, my primary culture, family and friends, is loud and chaotic and everyone always moves around and talks at the same time - none of this “taking turns” business for us! As Impiper said above, the select seems to get confused by us. But, it, and I, am learning and tweeking, playing with the different mics and gain and balance. I can effectively shut out most of the “noise” but it does take some playing around. Overall, it is great!
Showed it to a friend who immediately ran out to get one and was told Phonak is currently sold out but will have them again in January. Just like those chicken sandwiches.

No receiver will fit on any of the Marvels. The Roger X is used to install the RogerDirect feature into the Marvels.

Thank You Zebras to make nearly all clear to me.
So one question i have left regarding the installation of the Rogerdirect feature to the Marvels. You wrote that the X Receiver most be above Serialnumber 1744xxxx or later for to be compatible to push the License or Firmware whatever to the Marvels.
Somwere i have read that the identification of the X -receiver can be don by color of them.
So the color of the X-receiver must be champange .
Is it through that on ebay is enogh to watch out for champain colored X-receivers?
Or are there other things to consider before buy them?
So if i managed to install the X-Receiver in to the Marvel than i can use every roger Select and Roger Pen ?
Are the Roger select iN devices wich include the feature license then bound to this specific licensed or can they connect also to other Receivers?
Thanks for the Answer Zebra in advance .

When I got my Roger Select iN to trial, a couple of weeks ago, the audiologist had to fiddle with something on my . I’m not quite sure what she was doing, but it seemed she inserted a tiny little pin into each HA. Those, I gather, are the “receivers”. I’m not sure if this feature works for older Phonak Marvels that have had the 2.0 update, or is only for the newer Marvels that had the 2.0 update built in. I have the latter, having gotten a pair of M90-13T HAs back in October.
Yes, you can then receive output from other Roger devices. For example, there’s a woman in my church who makes the pastor wear a Roger Select around her neck. I can tune into the signal that comes out (i.e. pastor’s voice). My friend uses a MyLink around her neck to get the signal, I got it directly. It did take some fiddling to get the pairing right.

No I can clarify this point for You Mike59
RogerDirect is only one Feature your Marvel can do.
But that Feature neded to be Installed on Your Marvel 2.0
You have 2 Ways to do that
Way 1: You buy Roger Select iN or Roger Pen iN
from that devices you are able to install the Feature License in to Your Marvels.
Way 2: You buy Roger Select or Roger Pen AND Roger X Receivers with serialnumber Higher than 1744xxxx
In that case you have one special transferdevice to transfer the Licens Feature to your Marvels from the Roger X receivers.
Today i have ordered one Roger Select set wich come with 2 Roger x-Receivers and the special device to do the transfer my self.
Phonak said that in Switzerland the iN versions of the Roger will be not on sale.

So, now that I have the select in configured to work with my M90s does that mean I can now buy the older model roger pen on ebay for $100 and it will work without anything else?
And, as the Doweger Dutchess of Downton once asked “What is a weekend?”

Yes you can. It’ll work.

I would make sure you get the 1.1 Roger Pen (2nd Gen) instead of the 1st Gen. The 1.1 range is a lot better.

I just got the new select iN from the audiologist at the today, and I think I am going
to be one happy camper with it. Audiologist commented on how expensive it was and said because of my hearing loss it was warranted but it wouldn’t be given to just anybody
that wanted one.

2019 Roger X
I see roger pens and roger pens 1.1 on ebay. what is the difference ? which one will work directly with marvel 90 ? also does anyone know if roger pen can be used as a microphone for phonecalls and turn off the microphone on the marvel 90 ? i am going to trial marvel 90 next week but i have read that some people cannot hear what is spoken into the marvel 90 built in microphone when talking on the phone. dont know if this makes any difference or not but i will be using a iphone 11pro. also what are the iN versions?

Just bought a 2017 1.1 pen on Ebay as per Zebras recommendation. $150, a bit more than I wanted to spend but not much compared to what I already have spent. Now I need one of those fishing vests to carry around all my hi tech stuff.

This is the best, most succinct description of the tangled web which is Roger (from the Marvel viewpoint). Thank you very much, @Ulf .

The Roger Pen is 1st Gen and the 1.1 Pen is the 2nd Gen. the 1st Gen range is really poor compared to the 1.1 (2nd Gen).
