If you have More hearing aids as I do, you don’t really need to upgrade until the next generation after Polaris.
Thanks. I pick up my More 1 on Monday

While I agree if you already own the Mores, the incremental improvements are not big enough to upgrade, but you are new to the Mores. It will be up to the Oticon Rep if you will be able to upgrade if/when the new More launches in a few weeks. That happened to me with the Alta2 I had just gotten when the Alta2Pro came out. I asked and was able to get the newest Pro - also an incremental upgrade. That said, I was already entrenched in the Oticon Family of hearing aids, and the Rep was familiar with me. Doesn’t hurt to ask, especially if they become available during your trial period.
The enhancements in this upgrade will be nice, if they work as decribed. Wind handling alone makes me want the want them!
I appreciate the incremental upgrades Oticon provides, between their big generational New hearing aids.

your trial period.
Unfortunately I think I just have a 60 day return period but returning would still cost me $400.

I only have 45 day trial - so 60 day is good. If I selected another hearing aid, the fitting fee was waived.
The More 1’s are great hearing aids in my opinion.
There is a lot of flexibility in the programing if your Audiologist is skilled and willing to work with you.

From Genie 2 about the Real
2023.1 updates
SuddenSound Stabilizer in MoreSound Amplifer 2.0
The SuddenSound Stabilizer is a new feature with Oticon products on the Polaris R™ platform which instantly handles soft and loud sudden sounds of everyday life. This feature replaces Transient Noise Management.
The aim with this new added functionality is to make SuddenSound Stabilizer a tool that you actively use as part of the fitting. For this reason, we have given it a more prominent placement in the Fine-tuning screen, as part of MoreSound Amplifier 2.0.
Depending on the pricepoint, there are up to six different levels: Off, Low, Medium, High, Very High and Max.
SuddenSound Stabilizer can be turned off for no sound processing of sudden sounds, and can be individualized for very different client needs, as it adds additional sudden sound attenuation for every level up.
Wind & Handling Stabilizer in MoreSound Intelligence 2.0
For the Oticon Real hearing aid family, it is possible to effectively prevent wind noise and handling noise in the hearing aids. This is done by turning the Wind & Handling Stabilizer on or off in Automatics. As default, the feature is set to on.
Given its powerful ability to reduce annoying and disturbing sounds with noise-like properties, it is considered part of the well-known MoreSound Intelligence processing, as it also provides a better starting point for the onboard Deep Neural Network to work as intended.
Conversation Activity
Conversation engagement is a factor that indicates how your clients thrive with their hearing aids. This logging information can be used to have a dialogue with your client about how active they are in conversation, and the impact that wearing hearing aids can have for a person’s ability to talk and engage in different listening environments.
With this function, you can analyse in which types of sound environments your client is using their hearing aids, how much time they are engaging in conversation when they are in a particular type of sound environment, and also how their engagement develops over time. With this information, you can assist your client and tailor their hearing aid settings to help them in their journey to engage more in conversation.
The information on Conversation Activity can be found under Data Logging in the Fitting screen…
Voice notifications
The notification for Low Battery is now available as a voice notification as a supplement to (only) beep notification. This makes it easier for the client to understand what the notification means, and take the correct action.
Voice Notification is available in a variety of languages and it is only available when the hearing aids are connected - not in simulation mode.
You can find Voice Notification in the End Fitting screen, Buttons and Indicators, under the tab called Audible Indicators.
Improved detect/connect flow
We have improved the flow of the detection and connection of hearing aids, by providing you with all relevant information for the process in one window.
This means that you can make your decision easily, close the window to finish the detect and connect process, and then move on with your fitting.
This new approach makes the process smoother for you and your client.

Well after all that, how will it improve ones hearing, wind/sudden noises, easy to use software features, don’t add up to much, did I miss the new bluetooth chip.

I really don’t know yet. My audiologist seems to think it may help me to hear better. But I have to be honest it will take a lot to be an improvement over my More1 aids. My real hope is they have made true connectivity improvements.

I browsed through their global website that you included above and couldn’t find any new whitepapers for the new technologies for the Real. I only saw old whitepapers for the More.
Can you provide direct links to the new whitepapers if you have them?

I’m just really hoping the Real has . I’ve pretty much decided that if it does, they’ll be my next aids later this year.

I have been on the keto lifestyle since this last September. I don’t consider it a diet because I am eating more calories than I was before I started keto and was gaining weight then. I just don’t eat anything with grains or made from grains and I don’t eat starchy vegetables anymore, in other words no potatoes. I eat all of the meat, eggs, sausage and green vegetables that I feel like eating. I have a lot more energy, my BP is now normal, and my body is using its own fat for fuel, and with the protein I eat my body isn’t losing muscle mass and maybe even building muscle.

Has anyone heard if the new Reals will have the option of rechargeable vs. disposable batteries when initially released?
