Getting Started in the Upgraded Forum

For anyone looking. This is the link you will see on the login screen, right under the password field.

The new forum, the new platform is not working properly. Very often when I go to the “reply” option, the message window does not open. I have to refresh the page often for it to work. The same thing happens on my Android smartphone.

I hope the fixes are in progress ?

I’m seeing a similar problem, on Edge and Chrome browsers on Windows 11. I get the input field on the left, but not the field on the right echoing it in actual post format. Also having a problem where the Insert Hyperlink field can’t be closed. I can manage to post by typing or entering hyperlink, then closing window, going back to the forum, and returning to the same thread where I find my started reply with everything I’ve typed so far (or the hyperlink, which made it into the input window even though I couldn’t close the hyperlink window).

I’m seeing an issue breaking the message preview as well Chrome MacOS. My forum dev is away for the day, but I’ve asked him to look at it when he returns. There’s some javascript bug and I imagine the discourse upgrade will patch it.

I find the creamy background color makes the text harder to read! I find myself squinting! I guess I’ll get used to it. I hope so.

What do you mean “creamy”? Could you send the screen example?

Why don’t you go to your profile settings and select “Dark Mode” in the Interface menu?

Thanks, all. I found the page and made background “white”. Happy with that. Overall the changes are great. Thanks, Abram!!

I’m glad someone used the white theme
I prefer cream myself, but I understand some people prefer high contrast.
