    The miniRITE S1 served me well until hearing loss progressed following my being infected with Covid-19 in 2022 and 2024. Since October 2025 I have in my right ear a Med-El cochlea implant (Sonnet 3 BTE sound processor + Mi1250 Synchrony 2 FLEX/soft implant). For the time being I continue to wear the OTICON miniRITE S1 in my left ear, and I anticipate that by early 2027 I will get also the same cochlea implant because the residual hearing is below 10% word recognition.
