Reviewers often said the HearLink 9050 sounded natural and worked well overall, with several preferring it to other aids and one praising phone use and Auracast. Some reviewers reported mixed experiences, especially hiss, noise-reduction quirks, or phone connection problems, and one noted background-noise conversations were still difficult with vented domes.

The sound is natural, though your own voice tends to be more prominent than the ambient sound.
Overall works well. I dislike the default "intelligent" noise reduction. It changes the directionality and noise handling unexpectedly which I find disorienting. I had the Costco tech turn off some of the noise reduction and I like it better that way. Another issue is that in a quiet setting, the background hiss keeps turning on and off. I eventually bought a Noahlink and experimented with changing the noise reduction. What I found is that the wind noise reduction causes the background hiss: I created a copy of my default program, and turned off wind noise reduction (and made no other changes). This new program is now my default, and I don't get the background hiss.
The Philips 9050s follow trial and return of 2 other HA types. Costco fitter did a great job. I'm enjoying them and access to Auracast. They are fully functional on my Pixel 10A phone, with Android 17. The other aids were tinny by comparison. There is slight hiss on the right side, easily managed by turning it down - fitter's 0 point volume I turn down to -4 in our (intentionally) quiet home. Will have him re-baseline the 0 point at the follow up visit. The hiss if any remains, just blends with the tinnitus.
Excellent except for conversations in background noise, but I use vented bass domes which has an impact on the performance of background noise program.
OK but doesn't work well with my phone Samsung Galaxy A535g. Need to hold phone to ear, sometimes sound moves to other ear, sometimes too low and sometimes just fine.
I like the natural sound better than my Phonaks
So far so good. Very pleased.
Much better than the trialed Jabra Enhance Pro 30s.
