Newbie here . . . Maybe someone from here can help or lead me to someone that can answer my questions. I have a TVConnector model V2 for my wife and myself, as we have Phonak hearing Aids. I need to Stream from my V2 Connect with optical (SPDIF) connection to my TV with ONLY have HDMI connection. I’ve seen Audio Splitters, converters, extractors and you name it. I believe I need an Output Signal into my V2 TVConnector. Would someone steer me in the right direction. Thanks!

What’s the exact make and model of the tv?
The TV Connector (TVC) can take standard 3.5mm analog audio input as well as optical input. The same jack can do either.
What other (if any) audio equipment are you using?

The input to the V2 TV connector is a dual input, e.g. works with an optical input or an audio cable input. I have one connected to my TV with Toslink (optical) and another connected to my laptop with just an audio cable. So it should work with your TV if you have an audio output jack. Using the audio jack will probably cut off sound to the TV speakers but since both you and your wife will be listing to the TV Connector, that should not be a problem.

I have a VIZIO TV. I am using the TVC on my DirecTV Receiver. And only have the optical cord. The TV came with 2 HDMI jacks, with one going to my Receiver and a USB jack that I’m powering the TCV. I don’t have any audio equipment.

Do you have model numbers for those two pieces of equipment? Not much more to suggest in specifics without model numbers.

Yes, my TV does have ARC and will order this ARC Audio Extractor immediately.
