The audiologist I saw in the fall (mine was out on maternity) said they usually find better performance from molds. Domes are an easy fit for many mild/moderate loss patients. But the rest tend to get molds. And they don’t hesitate to go to molds if fitting for domes has an issue.

With power domes I have much poorer high frequency amplification, especially between, IIRC, 2.5 and 5 kHz.

Is that because the estimated feedback limit is restricted more?

Yes, I was referring to titanium a bit, but maybe I was inaccurate. Acrylic can also do a great job, but titanium can be placed deeper due to the possibility of thinner walls. I’m actually trying to figure out vocational rehabilitation services right now! I had an intake appointment Friday, but I’m not super hopeful I’ll qualify financially as my spouse makes more than me as a teacher and we have no kids. But I figured it was worth a shot!

Would the Naida PR fit your loss @Bimodal_user ??

You’re right, I don’t know why I forgot about SP version in Lumity line. Maybe because of frequency response range?

However, in theory PR could provide better amplification than P receiver in my Sphere:

I have just also “tried” to “fit” in Lumity SP model:

To sum up, I don’t see much difference in my case. SP could be better only if my hearing would be much poorer up to 4 kHz. What’s more, there is poorer amplification over 4 Khz in SP:

I have quite useful hearing in the 6–8 kHz regions, and even more so above that; I don’t want to lose its potential.
