Streaming volume too loud on iPhone even on lowest setting

I also want a better solution. aids are easier to manage from a volume perspective. You can long long press the volume slider on screen and drag to adjust volume to 1, 2, 3, or 4%. With the buttons only it jumps from zero to 5%. You can also make a Shortcut for a specific volume percent if you find 1, 2, 3, 4%, etc. work for you.
Sometimes something goes wrong with the Bluetooth stack and the aids will not go to zero volume. It seems Phonak could improve things.

There are Android apps that give you precise control of your phone’s volume like you describe above. I’ve used Precise Volume before. It was a pain sliding the scale exactly where I wanted it, but it could be done. Unfortunately, there was an incompatibility between the app and the bluetooth in my car so I gave up on it.

It seems Apple could easily implement an extended low volume range option within the accessibility settings. Some would like that even if this specific issue is more on Phonak’s end. Perhaps Apple assumes everyone has lost hearing from using earpods and airpods, but there seems plenty low end space left and some may want to use it.

Just wanted to thank you for this! I had this problem with my new Phonaks+iPhone and I showed my audiologist your post and she was able to fix it for me.
It’s still not ideal (it’s weird I can’t turn the volume all the way down, like why?) but it’s an awful lot better.
