Hello everyone, I need some help with my Roger On V1 microphone.
The problem is that the screen went completely black. I can’t see if it’s charged, connected, or what it’s connected to.
I’ve already tried updating the firmware and doing a factory reset, but that didn’t solve the problem.
The official Phonak supplier here in Guatemala doesn’t offer any real technical support—they only sell new units and don’t have spare parts or any repair knowledge.
I even opened the device to check the screen’s part number, but I couldn’t find any replacement parts online.
For context, I have experience repairing Apple computers and iPhones, so I’m comfortable with delicate electronics repair if parts are available
So I have two questions:
- Since Roger On V1 spare parts are very expensive on eBay, could I use the screen from a Roger On V2 as a replacement? (Roger On V2 units are easier and cheaper to find.)
- Is the Roger On V2 and V3 compatible with the Phonak Roger 17 Integrated Receiver?
Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated!
