Well I did have a similar experience with my audi! We are in a very humid area, and even tho her clinic is cold as an iceberg, she literally went thru TWO 8-packs of batteries trying to get a working ONE to put in my 312 aid when it came back from repair. Each and every battery the sticker just about slipped off. It’s like the humidity did a number on them - even tho they were hermetically sealed in the pack! She’d remove the sticker, rub the battery top, wait 2 min, and I’d get 10-60 seconds of use before the battery was dead.
We invented cuss words! Invoked curses on the battery maker. And then - sheepishly - I recalled that I kept a spare pair on me, so we swapped one in and voila! Problem solved.
My audi said SO FEW folks use batts anymore that her supply sits in moist, cold storage for months. Not what I wanted to hear having invested in 2 pairs of 312s. Dodo calling!
