Target v 11.0

Yes as mentioned, you can just update yourself with the built-in updater in target.

I have some questions about Phonak’s Target desktop application. I’ve searched the forums to no avail. Can someone help?

• Does Target require Noahlink, or can it connect directly to the hearing aids via the PC’s Bluetooth?

• Are any drivers or additional software required to use Target and/or Noahlink?

• Does any of this software or hardware require evidence that the user is an audiologist? For example, does Target lock any advanced features from non-audiologists?

• If I use these tools, will I jeopardize any warranties or support from Phonak or the audiologist who sold me the device?

1. It’s all over the forum, you can only connect with the correct hardware interface.
2. Sometimes you may need to install the drivers for win11
3. No issues there
4. No definitely not, remember these are your HAs and you can do what you like with them, you’ll get a time stamp difference and if you actually make changes then you clinic will notice, but you can fob them off with some made up story as to why.

Has anyone actually updated to Target 11.0? I have been trying without success and when I Googled the issue it stated that you need to be logged into your Phonak account in order to do the upgrade. Anyone have any info on this?

I looked on V11 and couldn’t see the option to disable hands free so I wonder where it is.

Just updated Ruth to 11.0 that took all of 10 minutes:-) 2gig symmetrical download/upload has it’s distinct advantages I haven’t encountered any problems whatsoever with updating from 10.0, if you have an older version of Target, you may encounter problems when attempting an update? I will have a look later Ruth… I am doing fine Ruth, thank you, busy, busy, busy … although I had a break out with eczema for a few weeks, I would defy anyone not to scratch that itch, it woke me up in the middle of the night! Thankfully it has abated via tropical steroids! I hope your health is on the up, I am excited for you at the prospect of a Cochlear Implant, hopefully all will go smoothly, and the rehab will not be too challenging! Take care, cheers Kev x

So it would appear that you guys in the UK have been able to upgrade to version 11.0. In Canada, I still cannot get version 11.0. Anyone in the USA had any success yet?

I now have V11. I’ve noticed a few bits of eye candy in Program Options, but not much more.

Welcome to the forum, great your giving DIY a go, do read the user guides as it’s very helpful for setting up the first time, as you have the Noahlink wireless on the way, I’m sure you’ll be up and running in no time.

I am glad you are getting a cancellation Ruth… Not that I know a lot about Cochlear Implants, but I do recall reading about a single processor that did both ears, in short, 2 implants, with one processor, that was a few years ago, and I never heard about it again, so I assume it wasn’t feasible, or it got kicked into touch? I think the reasoning behind it was cost? Anyway, fingers and toes crossed for you in September! Kev x
