Weird experience with extremely loud sound in my house

Tonight on several occasions over a few minutes I heard the loudest sound that I’ve heard in my house. It sounded like a jet airplane was taking off in the house. It just lasted a few seconds each time. My wife was in the same room with me and heard nothing unusual. The dishwasher and the refrigerator were both running but normally are barely audible. Is it possible that something was interfering with the t-coils in my aids? I was not using the t-coil program at the time. My aids are Phonak M-50 312-T. In all the several times I heard the noise I pulled the aids out and then heard nothing strange with the aids out. Anybody else with an experience like this?

By any means, I am trying to tell you my experience is what happened to you. I do have an ice-maker machine. It runs every other day to fill our needs. I can hear it as an airplane motor. I can listen to my router, modem, and CVT cameras on the second floor. I can listen to my washing machine and the dryer even when they are in their own room.

I am still trying to get time to fix one of my toilets. The tank opens to refill the water level for about 3-5 seconds, 2-3 times daily. I can hear it.

I asked normal people about these noises, and they all appeared to be at normal levels. So, when at home, I have an Airtag that automatically lowers my Phonak two levels from normal.

It could be the hearing aids, but also an appliance at home.

It might be the sound of the freezers. Their motors do spin up for a brief seconds - some people hear them, others don’t.

Nope, Ours is outdoor tankless. I think it was something internal in the aids because my wife didn’t hear anything unusual. She was in the same room as me.

Did it by any chance happen right after receiving an alert/notification on your phone? I’m assuming your aids have Bluetooth, if not, just ignore the question. thanks.

Two very different problems:
“wdgowen” does this ever happen while you are away from your home, with your phone turned off?

“Adrian” two thoughts:
I’m a long time retired broadcast and audio engineer. All my adult life I would hear small sounds that others would need to get much closer to the source.
My very hard of hearing 90 year old aunt had hearing recruitment. Once low frequency sounds got above a certain level they would seem very loud to her. The furnace, a car or plane outside sounded like thunder to her.
