Phonak P90 Volume drop off

Hello all

This is my first time attempting to self program my ’s . I’ve downloaded the target software and purchased the noahlink wireless 2. The problem I’m having is ever time I cough or clear my throat the sound level will drop off for @ 10 sec or so. What would be the proper adj to make in target to fix this problem ? Thank you for any advice .

Dynamic Noise Cancellation would be something to look at, NoiseBlock, SoundRelax are others to look at, just lower them a few clicks on the sliders to see what helps.

Yes I’m totally new to this. I’ve never really posted any comments or joined any forum at all. I definitely understand I have to take baby steps. I feel like I have so many questions to ask about different settings on the software but I don’t want to be a pain. I first tried going to the app and chose the music program to test the problem. It still seemed to do the same thing. I also noticed in Target that the dynamic noise cancellation only affects speech in noise or speech and loud noise, is that normal ? Well thank you for your suggestion and if any other ideas pop in your head I’d appreciate a heads up.

This is why I tried the music program first because sound relaxing and noise block are already down to zero. But it didn’t really affect the situation I’m having. If it did I would go in to the other programs and adjust it to zero. But like I said it didn’t help at all.

I found the same issue as you was down to compression when I wore Phonak’s.

This was back in 2011 with my first pair of digital Aids that were Phonak Naida.

I wanted to play with the compression settings in Target but I don’t see how to highlight the CR to change the settings. I think mostly all of them are below 2.0 and the lower ones are usually 1.2
