I know that I saw someone who posted about using them. And I heard about them here on the forum.

Yeah, the name!! Someone has a sense of humor.

They look pretty cool. Although the concha locks/sport locks would be simpler and cheaper.

@Blue_Pearl1 : I remembered seeing them mentioned in a different thread.

@Gila mentioned them in one of her posts in the “Color of Hearing Aids” thread. Specifically, Gila said: “I have some of the cuffs from DeafMetal! They’re great for dressing up my aids. On a practical note, they also keep your aids from getting lost when you’re hiking in the wind and rain.”

I don’t wear my DeafMetal accessories every day, but I do love them. I have a friend who makes jewelry, and she’s making me some custom pieces to attach to their silicone hooks.

It must be challenging to have to wear sleeping. But I completely understand the need. My husband can be lying next to me on his back, and I can’t hear what he’s saying unless he turns on his side facing me! And I understand the safety issues with that level of hearing loss.

I made several posts in reply to AtillaDaPun and to Gila, but I don’t see them? Maybe they just went as a private message to them.

I’m just getting the hang of using people’s handle as a post vs private message—still not sure which is what.

Actually, it seems to me that it’s analogous to enduring severe pain, sometimes distraction is the most helpful when the pain meds aren’t sufficient—which is common. Ask me how I know?!
