I bought Lumity 90s with disposable batteries on eBay more than a year ago. So far as I know they’re the last model that had disposables. From memory, the price was equivalent to Costco price. The seller actually contacted me after I ordered to ask if I really wanted ones that used disposable batteries. She said that they had people ordering them who got upset when they received them and returned because they wanted rechargeables. Just goes to show you, first that more people want rechargeables now, and second, that a lot of people are incapable of reading an offering on eBay well enough to know what’s being offered.

I believe they are upwards of $5,000 here in Canada but my reason for looking for 312 hearing aids is because of their size. The Sphere is even bigger than its predecessors.

@bluejay

Gilbert I have great respect for Bluejay.

I deeply resent that my dispensing Audi provided rechargeable Audeo Paradise P90R’s without asking.

Bluejay please talk to Gilbert.

Gilbert I’m very grateful that Phonak provided new Paradise P90R’s and a new charger at end of warranty they are adequate They kept the old ones Good riddance The new hearing aids are much better Same mode

Thanks

I have Paradise P70R which I would be glad to exchange for disposable battery type.

Look out for Sky Bolero M70s. They take 312s, and are still a great hearing aid. The Sky aids are for children, but the only real differences are:

  1. They can only access the Phonak Junior app, but you can access full features with the Amplifon app.

  2. There’s no Tinnitus masking feature. I fou d this useless anyway.

Re-looking at your , I believe you’d be better off with Phonak Naida SP’s with 13s. They’ll give you 3 extra days, and your ears will still hide them. I don’t believe there’s a Phonak aid available with a 312 battery to cover your loss in your worst ear.

I have 8 pairs of Phonaks, from Bolero M70, through Paradise Audeo P90 to Naida L90 SP and Sky Naida L70 UP. The UPs use 675, and last me 2 weeks. I self programme, and I’m getting best results with 2 pairs:

Naida M70 SP
Naida L90 SP

@PeterH Many thanks for your advice. It puts things in a different perspective for me. You have given me food for thought. Thanks.

I would rather have replaceable batteries than rechargeable ones I have. Mine are P90R’s.

I was a heart patient in hospital held over night. Hearing aids died.

On two occasions I spent hours and hours in A&E and was glad of my very old battery powered ’s.
So, if anyone has Phonak Paradise with batteries for sale, I am interested.

Edited

Incidentally, I have a pair of Phonak Paradise P70 R (rechargeable) that I would swap for any model of Paradise with disposable batteries. These were replaced under warranty last year when I sent them in for new batteries and have been hardly used since.
