Should my hearing aid stick out past the top of my ear?

I have figured out I am as attractive with them as I am without them. It just bugs me when i look in the mirror and see the tips of my hearing aids on my ears. So much so that it’s a deal breaker if any other Costco hearing aids hide better.

Costco has been outstanding. I dropped in unannounced 2 times and they switched receivers both times, gave me the old ones and taught me how to change them.

So does they look better with the longer wires ?

With the longer wires, I can place the hearing aid where I want it, behind the ear, but over a couple of hours they will move to the place where there were when I had the short wires. the hearing aid is only a few grams, and the wire is pretty stiff, so the weight of the hearing aid does not keep it in place. I am waiting to seeing if there will be a little indentation on my head, to hold it in place, like there already is with the short wire placement.

You’re new to hearing aids. I believe you’ll think differently in time, about the asthetics over function. I certainly have. It took a few years.
