It’s an Audeo Lumity AKA Sonite R. Something has happened to either the receiver or my ear. A male baritone voice and almost everything streaming are buzzing in my right ear.
I tried inserting the left side in my right ear and I thought the problem want away. There is a chance it’s my hearing…
So, apparently I want the Phonak 5.0 3S Right. The 3S number on the old receiver has a vertical white line next to it. Apparently the version 5’s can accommodate the Cerustop and have a white vertical line.
I’m new to everything hearing aid. It’s been a learning experience.

I think you should act quickly and as soon as possible get new and go to your doctor. This can be partial which can be treated if treatment is started quickly (ideally within week, it can be effective to ~2 week and be somewhat efficient within month - the sooner, the better).
It’s important especially if you feel your have deterioration of hearing.
It’s possible I am wrong, but better be safe than sorry…
I’m happy to say that the buzzing in my right ear wasn’t my hearing!
I’m definitely a novice at all of this since I’ve only been wearing ’s a little over a month but this distorted, buzzing sound was very disappointing and something that I didn’t want to accept as normal. This started on day 1 and I’ve replaced the Cerustop and dome to no avail.
Yes, I should have taken it back to Costco, but I’ve always been a troubleshooter and I wanted to solve the problem myself.
First I ordered the wrong receiver. I needed a 3S, Right, but ordered a 4.0 which was slightly different.
The correct receiver came today along with the tool. Problem solved! I don’t regret spending the $50.
I know the chances of getting a bad receiver on a brand new Phonak product is one in a million, but it happened.
Bimodal_user, I double checked my using Phonak Target and it hadn’t changed even with the bad receiver but I was about to see and if the problem persisted.

Good to read this was simply a receiver problem, and you have the was to check it in AudiograDirect. So, you simply should buy SDS 5.0 receivers, which uses Cerustops.
SDS 4.0 uses Cerushield, which are different, less conveniet to insert filters than Cerustops.
Perhaps the problem is because you tried to insert Ceustop in your SDS 4.0, when Cerushield should be used in that case?
