That’s great news! Let’s hope more venues are enabled. Wonder if it needs a certain model of iPhone to work?

iOS here. Nothing has really changed so far. Any new features should only become available for the Intents after a firmware upgrade.

Not that I’m planning to go to the Sydney Opera House anytime soon.

I wonder what research is done with the public before changing apps. I’ve updated companion and really don’t like what is assumed to be a ‘smoother’ experience. I find swiping harder to manage than clicking to change programs. I have essential tremor and swiping is harder to control. I wish I could revert to clicking where I could actually see the list of programs on my phone not have to guess where my swiping will end up!
Also I have a fitting on Tuesday. Will the audiologist updating the firmware after Tuesday affect settings she’s already chosen for my aids?

I have ET, too ![]()
I have the Oticon Intent and the Pixel 9 phone, and rarely use the Companion app.
With Pixel 8-10, and Samsung S23-25 series, Your hearing aids can have program changes through the Hearing aid settings on the phone.
It may also be available with iPhones.
If your provider can’t help, Oticon support phone # is:(855)400-9766

I own an iPhone 14 Pro Max and am still quite confused about , , and all that. So, I took a quick trip to a mall and got to fiddle with a few Samsung tablets and phones. The models that support Auracast transmission (like the S24, S25, and Tab S10) worked perfectly.
Here’s how I tested: I opened a Samsung device, enabled it to broadcast audio via Auracast, played a song on that device, then opened the Companion App on my iPhone and tuned in to the broadcast. It was surprisingly easy, and everything worked fine with my Oticon Intents during the brief time I tested a few devices.

I got a generic knock-off transmitter dongle from AliExpress and have been experimenting with for a couple of days (there are lots of options there — this is the link to the one I purchased10).
I got it working on my Windows 11 PC, MacBook, and iPhone, always in Auracast mode. I just selected the dongle as the audio output on the source device and then tuned in to the broadcast on my iPhone via the Companion App. I even got Microsoft Teams to work, although I had to use a different microphone input.
This dongle is inexpensive and probably far from the best option out there, yet it delivers great audio quality and a stable connection. However, I did notice a few glitches (or maybe I don’t know what I’m doing!): 1) I couldn’t connect my Intents via mode — only Auracast; 2) a few times, when I skipped forward a song, I had to refresh the connection in the Companion App because my hearing aids stopped streaming.
Overall, I’m really looking forward to the new journey that LE Audio/Auracast will take us on. Very promising! I’m now inclined to buy a better transmitter — perhaps the Avantree Audikast 4.

Looks like that is only , not LEA, so no mic support.
The one that gets a lot of love is the FMA 120 by Flairmesh. Their rep posts on here, and gives lots of good advice.
I got the Avantree C82 Aura dongle from Avantree to trial, and it works great, but is only Auracast.
looks like the Avantree Audikast 4 is also Auracast only from the spec sheet.

Thanks, yeah the FlooGoo seems a fine dongle! We need a product that supports USB & Toslink, & . Is there anything out there right now that covers all of these?
