Thinking we probably need more info. Like, what aid, what phone, what devices? or , or TV streamers or multimics or , or?

The two devices paired and connected switch automatically depending on the signal source. For example my Phonak aids (I90, L90 or P90) will switch between my phone and my iPad automatically depending on the input signal. If I want to connect another paired device I need to disconnect one of the devices already connected.

Assuming you watch a movie on your iPad and there is an incoming call on your phone, would the switch automatically?

The answer is yes. More interestingly, if you are logged in on both devices with the same account, the iphone might even forward the call to the iPad (that also works with Apple computers).

If my Spheres need to their connection to my desktop computer to be manually turned on (from the computer’s Bluetooth Devices screen), is there a setting in Target that will make the (re-) connection automatic?
That would give me yet another incentive to buy myself a NoahLink… :-o

I have 2 tv streamers, they dont switch automatically, I have to choose which one I want. When I get into my car, streaming changes from phone to car automatically. When I have a multimic and streamer, I again have to choose which device manually. When I get a call it doesnt matter what device im using, calls take priority and it automatically switches. Still have no idea what op is asking about…

No I don’t believe there is as such.

Switching between Bluetooth streams is where really shines.
Because it’s part of the standard, manufacturers have to implement a mechanism to do it.
(Do you hear that, Phonak?)

Well, if your TV streamers are Roger On iN mics, you’d need a separate license on EACH pair of aids. I have the On iN Version 2, and even tho BOTH of my Phonak Lumity Life 312 aids are paired WITH paid-for license to the Roger, I have to manually re-connect the other pair of aids if I use those instead of the pair of 312s already connected to the Roger.
By contrast, either pair of these 312 aids will automatically connect to my Android phone seamlessly after they’ve been paired with it. I just swap aids, and am good to go for streaming phone calls.
Wish it were as simple with my Roger TV streamer, but Phonak was GREEDY. They wanted to force folks into buying separate licenses for each pair of aids to work with a Roger mic.

Since they switch depending on whether device is active or not, I wish Phonak would allow (3+) more devices to be paired and simultaneously connected

Phonak has been using this since the Paradise version, the question is whether they can still enable it with Bluetooth LE. because everything has its limitations.
Maybe for multiple simultaneous pairings it requires multiple Bluetooth chips that can do it at the same time and that also increases the electronics, etc.
I honestly don’t like using 2 at the same time because I don’t like the second device with notifications interrupting what the first device is streaming. That’s why I prefer to have only one smartphone and turn on the rest as needed.

Ditto for me. I have ONLY my Android phone paired + connected to my 312 aids. If I stream on any other source, I turn that off right after using it. Keeps life simpler. Now if only if I could shut off TEXTING. I must get a dozen rude interrruptions a day with this or that which needs IMMEDIATE attention. Drives me NUTS.

It’s quite easy to get free licences, I have 3 pairs of aids connected to one Roger on IN v2. Zebras has a tutorial on here somewhere using the Target software. On course with v3 the licences are now unlimited.

I think part of her problem is having two Roger On mics, and having to re-pair to the other, “other one” all the time. It isn’t obvious which Roger a is paired with.

Yes, WhiteHat got it right! I was snookered into buying two SEPARATE licenses for each pair of my rechargeable aids. Then I learned how to remove and transfer licenses as per Zebras’ instructions, and then I managed to STAB my Roger to death with the PIN pushed into the back, followed by getting a new Roger mic, and then attempting to do the xfer on my own at home with ONE pair of rechargeables and my new 312 Phonaks, and for the life of me could not get the dang license OFF the device to xfer it over, followed by endless hair-rending attempts at this ‘n that, only to return to my audi to have her cross license my TWO Rogers to TWO pairs of 312s (as in the weeks that dragged on, I’d decided to replace my rechargeables with the 312s) and well, by now I have a working monograph on “The Trials, Tribulations and Pitfalls of Thinking You Can Easily Xfer Roger Mic License to Your Other Aids On Your Own Without Sheepish Return To Audi”.
And that pretty much sums it up. I have the Roger V2, and to your point, the V3 is looking REALLY worth it! I manage to lump along with re-connecting my cross-licensed aids + Rogers, but every time I want to use a different pair of aids with the Roger next to my TV, it takes 2-3 attempts till the PAID-FOR license lets me use it.
