Hey
Is there a new receiver for Infinio Ultra ?
Because Dr.Cliff said in last detailed review that the only physical thing they made in Ultra is “REDESIGN THE RECEIVER”…
So is there receiver 7.0 gonna hit the market soon ? Or there isn’t and we still use receiver 6.0?

haven’t heard that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4dlJyozI3M11
didn’t mention it. receiver 6.0 was brand new and only for infinio + sphere.

No, he really said “Phonak quietly redisgned their receivers”, and after that he said “Phonak also released a new EasyGuard dome”. Two separate things. I am super curious about the receivers now.

My understanding is the receiver is the same, but after the 2.0 firmware Phonalk is shipping all new Sphere’s with slim tips. Because requires additional oxygen in the ear canal to fully benefit the user. You can also order a custom slim tip from your initial mold order with new purchases. Slim tips can be ordered on line, but be certain you order what your provider recommend. Lastly open domes are now required to provide max oxygen as well. Lets all eliminate occlusion so Deepsomic AI can change our lives with the best hearing ever.

What if your hearing loss requires very small vents. I am get the Phonak Spheres in early December. Just curious. My audiologist said my ear molds would be from different material than I am use to. I have always worn acrylic custom ear molds. This is my first time with Phonak aids. For 15+ years I have worn Oticon aids.

The Sphrer= 2.0 firmware updates to sound sense 7, but no word on the receiver at all. They are shipping now with slip tips though to maximize oxygen in the canal to take 100% advantage of the dramatic changes in the 2.0 release. Open domes are also now recommended, no .

what are you talking about?
the utlra is supposed to fit all hearing losses and some hearing losses require a closed fit.
what is your oxygen blabbering all about?

@TonyF, did ChatGPT tell you this oyxgen stuff? It honestly makes no sense. Please be aware that you cannot trust ChatGPT or any other large language model (LLM). Ever.

Open domes are also now recommended, no closed domes.
This doesn’t make any sense to me at all. Can you explain where you got this info from? Any documentation from Phonak?

If that was the case my audiologist wouldn’t have recommended the Spheres for my hearing loss needs, and he wouldn’t have taken impressions either. I have been wearing aids for 20 years and always worn custom ear molds and never domes.

The Phonak titanium molds are really good. Probably going to get in impressions made in a few weeks. Mine are feeling a bit loose. Lost some weight recently now they are not sealing good. At least I think so. Going to have the audiologist check. I didn’t get acrilic because I knew I would break them. Dropping them mostly. Might try silicone skeleton lock. Just to see how they feel. I’ve had titanium molds for about two years. (Phonak Lumity life) Easy to clean and durable.

I am not sure what material I am getting. All my audiologist said it was a different material than what I normally get. And I have always had acrylic custom ear molds.

I was advised by Phonak engineering and researched the 2.0 firmware through multiple digital sources. Chat GPT was only 1 source.

I spoke with Phonak engineering and got access online to the new firmware overview and white paper on the plaftform development and upgrades in 2.0

As a researcher I believe in accessing several sources to get perspective. Chat and other research sources are part of the diligence process I follow. I also spoke with Phonak engineering live.
