Phone calls suddenly not audible in hearing aids anymore (Phonak, Android)

Since a few days, when I receive a phone call, the other party can hear me, but I don’t hear them in my hearing aids anymore.
Bluetooth says connected to R-Phonak hearingaid.
Listening to like spotify works fine.
I’m suspecting some setting on my phone, like microphone rights.
Tried all kinds of settings and resets, but problem is still there.

Only solution now is turn off and pull out hearingaid, and put the phone on speaker phone.

Any ideas?

Hi, I have an Android Samsung S22+ and for me a few days ago Verizon rolled out a massive software upgrade. You mentioned this started a few days ago - could the 2 things be related? I noticed they did change quite a few things and improved accessibility features.

I only use the app to adjust program and equalizer not for streaming or calls, but if you need me to test anything let me know (I have Jabra).

I use a Pixel 9 pro.

In the past on many of the Google updates I would have to go into settings and put my settings back in. The update changed a few. Especially the settings. My cochlear processors are not LE audio functional.

Only a thought but works more times than not…

1.Unpair aids from phone

2.uninstall app

3.restart phone

4.reinstall the app

5.repair aids to app

You may have another solution here, altho DO follow Cleveto’s suggestion regarding the full re-install.

Ask your audi to add a dedicated program for “Acoustic Phone”. (My lineup is: Default, Program 1 for NOISY places, Program 2 for Music and Program 3 for Acoustic Phone.)

This program lets you use ANYONE’S phone held up to your ear and the audio appears to stream into both aids/ear effortlessly. It’s the next best thing to streaming directly into both aids, and better than speakerphone mode.

I hope you get to the bottom of the issue. My experience is that Phonak is pretty ROCK STEADY in connectivity on any device or platform. I wear the Lumity Life 312 battery aids. LOVE ‘EM!

You got that exactly right! For me, it’s the LEFT ear. Any phone held up to my LEFT aid will send audio to both aids in Acoustic Phone. But in that same program, if I hold the phone to my RIGHT ear, I ain’t gonna be hearin’ squat!

Thanks for all the replies, but after trying most everything I took the blunt approach; started using my backup phone :-/
Of course, that one worked without any problems.

May have to dive into it again later, or maybe a newer phone is on the horizon!

p.s. not using the phonak app at all, as I hate meddling with it, and think the hearing aids should work by themselves without my help
