On my Signia ax hearing aids I am using the closed sleeve. It seems to have an intended orientation so that they would point forward, back, or up or down. Is there a correct orientation?

I don’t think there is, do you notice any difference on how you fit them, as they just click into place and get used like any other dome.

Yes, it does matter. The sleeves are oriented with oval shape “pointing” upward. The slight curve in sleeve should be oriented the same as the curve in your ear canal. From your perspective the left side curves to the right and the right side curves toward the left. Once you see which way they curve you can use the tiny tab on the sleeve as reference.

Hang on thats for , the just click on right? The ones I’ve used don’t have those markings.

I was referring to as I assumed @robsporny was also. The Signia AX doesn’t use click sleeves, they use the version 3.0 sleeves which push on like a dome but they are not symmetrical in shape so they can be oriented different ways.

I’m wearing 3.0 sleeves on the aX aids. I’ve been wearing them with the triangle thing to the front, so that the sleeve turns to the rear while in the ear. Yesterday, just to see what would happen, I turned them around so the triangle is in the rear and the sleeve turns to the front while in the ear. Well, now they sound good and they no longer slip out all the time. Wierd.
