I have a v1 Roger On and the centre button has stuck - it no longer pops back up after pressing it (I was attempting to clear a multi-talker network connection). Is this a known issue and is there a fix that doesn’t require dismantling it? I can find lots about the power button but nothing regarding the centre button.
The Roger was bought for me by my employer so I’m not out of pocket but it’s a very useful device - not 100% sure they’ll fall over themselves to cough up for a replacement v3 model (which would be super useful though).
I guess I’d wonder whether the issue was mechanical under the button, or gunk around the button next to the case. If it were gunk, pulling it up might help clear the gunk

There are a couple courses of action you can take here:
1.) contact Phonak Tech Support at (800) 679-4871 and give them the serial number of your V1. If it’s under warranty, maybe they’ll repair or replace it.
2.) let your employer know that the unit no longer works as it is. This mic is a tool you NEED to be productive at work. I’m assuming they’d replace a broken chair, your company PC, the coffee maker in the kitchen? This is the cost of doing business. Explain that you’ve researched alternatives, and while you’re happy to contact Phonak to see if your current unit can be fixed, if it can’t, there is a latest version that supports MULTIPLE devices connected via to your aids: backup pair of aids, laptop, speakerphone, etc., It’s called the V3 - 2 generations newer. If the cost of this is a bit more than a replacement for your V1, justify it.
Hopefully one of these options will work out for you, cuz one thing is certain: if you can prove the necessity of the Roger to your boss, they SHOULD want you to have a working unit.
