I’m back today. I noticed someone was wondering why there aren’t more Chinese comments here. Well, I’m actually one of the people working in the hearing aid industry in China, though I’m not in sales
I wanted to mention that the average person in China typically doesn’t have access to this forum. Furthermore, for those not involved in this specific industry, hearing aids are a pretty niche topic.
Here’s some latest insight I can share: Currently, there are almost no Chinese B2C brands selling traditional programmable hearing aids directly to other countries.
However, within China itself, we have a extensive network of hospitals and local clinics that do provide personalized services. This includes custom ear molds and programming hearing aids to fit individual patients’ .
On the B2B side, Chinese companies are making efforts to develop and sell traditional programmable hearing aids. But everyone in the industry knows this is a challenging and long road. Even the R&D for our hearing aids has many layers of issues to break through. For instance, most people understand OTC devices as simply amplifying sound. We are actively optimizing this, for example, by using better, more stable chips and incorporating features like noise reduction to improve speech clarity in noisy environments. But these improvements take time and require waiting for market feedback.
If you’re genuinely interested, you can keep an eye on Chinese companies such as the publicly-listed company Jinghao (www.jhhearingaids.com17), as well as others like Goodmi, Austar, and Earmate.
I’ll also keep watching to see if any Chinese companies or specific models of traditional programmable hearing aids become available for you to purchase locally. If I find any, I’ll occasionally recommend them here in the forum.
I sincerely hope this information can help those in need.
