Looks like these “tariffs” are a money grab disguised as a economic/political struggle. Again,
the people lose. If any electronics are made there they are going to passed on to the brand.

There are hearing aids made in China, but none of the major manufacturers have anything to do with them as far as I know. The Majority of components for ’s come from three or four different companies, none of which are in China.

I don’t know where they’re actually made, but the company’s country needn’t have anything to do with where they’re made. Apple is a US company and the phones are made in China.

The box that my Kirkland Signature 8.0 ’s came in says they were made in Singapore. I suspect Signia and Rexton are made there too.

Several of the major manufacturers have their major production in Suzhou, China and other locations in the Far East.
Few manufacturers make anything in the expensive parts of the World with proper unionised labour laws. Though several operate facilities in or nearer their main sales countries. It’s likely that if you wear a aid it was made in the Far East.
There are three Manufacturers with HQ in Denmark, one Germany, one Switzerland and one in the USA - these typically aren’t primary manufacturing locations, but will house the R+D and other business functions.

Definitely won’t affect Taiwan (aka Formosa for us old timers) until China takesit over like they did Hong Kong.

Yes, they are made in China and everything you hear is reported back to China’s Ministry of State Security!

Widex have production in Denmark (only the hearing aids themselves). They’ve automated the production to avoid outsourcing it in recent years.

I think Phonak have some production in Switzherland. And Signia properly have some production in Germany too. But those last two, i don’t have any reference for.
I think that most hearing aid manufacturers gets accessories produced in china.

I think I’ve seen elsewhere that custom made aids (, , etc.) are often made closer to home as they’re all one-offs. I think it’s also been suggested that and subsidize the price of the customs.

Great that they have a functioning line there, but I guess it doesn’t matter a lot to your average skilled Danish/German technician whether they lose their job to a machine or a person in China.
is always going to be more driven by the market location too - I’m not sure what the market % is now but ITE was massive. I guess it’s around 20% now.
