My experience with Resound metal ear hooks isn’t great. They don’t screw on firmly! The metal hook on the aid spins around in circles which I find frustrating. I’m at the stage where I’m thinking of gluing the ear hook in place..

Are you using these with the Resound Enzo IA, if so given that this aid was only released 3 months ago surely you aids will be under warranty in which cases I suggest taking them back to your Audiologist
I have been using the Resound Enzo IA for just over two months - they are absolutely great. No issues with the metal hook or anything else for that matter.

Resound have used metal earhooks alongside plastic ones in several generations of aids now. Can’t speak for metal ones but the plastic ones do become loose after a while. Particularly if the hearing aid is pulled off the ear by the tubing regularly. The ear hooks are the sacrificial part, softer than the connection on the hearing aid side, so as to avoid damaging the latter. Fortunately earhooks are cheap enough to be consumable replacement parts when necessary, e.g.:

I’m a new user of GN Rezound ENZO iA hearing aids
I really like them. I used 3 pair of receiver in canal hearing aids. I have old habits
I’ve pulled the receiver in canal apart and put it back together best I could
I’ve finally taught myself how to change volume using the buttons on top of the aids. Big step for this old guy. My dog bark is 90-95 . I have two dogs.
Next step will be changing programs pushing the button
Tone is excellent.

I understand her Much better. She sat in in the appointment.
The specialist politely repeated past advice
My hearing aids won’t fix my ears. And other symptoms. She expects me to hear across the house and up and around…..and if I don’t understand her I’m supposed to know she asked.

I though it was problem like "I could hear my wife well before. After changing earmolds, I can't hear her well in the same situations."
Okay, maybe I misunderstood.

The ReSound were better than my Phonaks.
Then I got feedback. After a quick visit to the specialist I couldn’t hear her Couldn’t understand her. I got lots of comments. The specialists plan B was to have new moulded inserts made
So I made another appt. They put the inserts on. New tubes too. I said some noises were painful. They adjusted settings.
I hear her much better now.
