Hi Penn,
I’m also having issues and I am also seeing the same options as you in HIN. I trialled Phonak last week and they were automatic and excellent in noise.

I tried the Phonak when they were new and still working out bugs. I didn’t want to risk keeping them, but maybe I should have.

Hi Karen- My audiologist tried an adjustment that didn’t help. I need to go back and try again. I have not been using the HIN program lately.

Hi Penn,
It is frustrating as the reason I got these aids was because of the and ability to function in noise.
Mine are Specsaver Advance Elite + which are supposed to be rebadged Resound AI.
I do like the size of them. However, I expect that a pair at the top of the range to have good sound quality and noise functions.
Good luck with yours?

Really disappointed with the fitting at Costco. GN (ReSound, et al) rolled out an update to their fitting software nationwide on the 12th to let the audi’s use the latest NAL-NL3 target. Costco “never heard of it” . They did an adjustment based on a several month-old that increased the base quite a bit at the expense of intelligibility. I rejected that and they “did something”. After a week of not understanding my three grandkids (ages 9 and 10). I found I needed about a 5 or 6 db increase in treble to begin to understand them. Completely the opposite of what their fitting SW did. I have three more weeks in my 6 month return period, but I just don’t believe I can get a fit that will give me anything close to what I really should have. The are really good and the most comfortable I’ve worn. I hate to give them back, but Costco is repeatedly letting me down. Good luck with yours - Just stay away from the Costco fitters in Colorado Springs.

I wore my Jabra 10s through 3 biking seasons. Only 2500 miles, due to a back problem, but when I ride, I sweat. The receiver with molds firmly attached are now in their 4th year of working well. I wore my Philips 9010s for 3 seasons, too, with no deterioration or corrosion.
I know of at least one report of repeated failures due to sweat, but protection has definitely improved over the years.
ETA: The Glenview, IL Costco seemed to have the 2.3 version of s/w 2 weeks ago.

One of the issues is that what fitting formula are you using now? The fitter can raise the gain on higher frequencies. Just can’t rely on prescription targets alone, since it doesn’t account for what users can actually hear.
More adjustments are in store. Not surprised Costco hasn’t updated its software yet since it just was released. Corporate environments take time.
