I recently got Resound Vivia 9 hearing aids, and while I am generally pleased with them in the normal program, the so-called hearing-in-noise program doesn’t work at all for me. It just mutes everything and doesn’t pick out speech like it is supposed to do. I am wondering if this is a general impression or possibly the way mine are programmed. I had tried the Signia Pure Charge and Go, and they were great in noisy environments, but I ended up exchanging them because of a defect –a static noise in the left ear that my brain started reproducing on its own. The audiologist recommended the ReSound because they are good at filtering noise–which they are. But I am frustrated at the lack of hearing speech clearly in noisy environments.
