I now have my Oticon Intent 1 since 20 Jan and have an older Android phone that does not have “LE blue tooth” so I need a “Easy LE Adapter” to use the phone. It costed me $50 from Dr ( where on Amazon they are at least $100. It uses a USB-3 power connection to talk “LE Bluetooth” to my hearing aids so I can use the phone. Also it works on my Linux machine (both directions as I get a receiver from the adapter and a mic from the adapter) allowing ZOOM meetings going thought my hearing aids just like using the phone.

As mentioned before, we’ve added the firmware update function to the Linux desktop app FlooCast. Please let me know if you encounter any issues with it.
We packaged it as a .deb installer to save users time configuring the udev rules required for accessing the serial interface and the firmware update interface.

I use Gentoo as it still allows using X11 (display manager), and init (initializes the computer on start-up. DO not use any Linux that uses Wayland AND/or Systemd.
I am an old ‘Electrical CAD’ developer for a big main frame company and we used UNIX (SunOS, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, MIPS, UIX, IRIX, etc). .
We all used Linux at home, because it behaved like Unix and as such we used Linux for development and our testing of the code and (regression tests) and then tested on all the Unix flavors. When we decided to support Linux it just worked. We even found that one the flavors of Unix did not draw a “not” circle correctly as the circle was drawn below the pointy end and not centered. That turned out be a problem with the display they were reselling and changed to a new brand and the “not” gate displayed correctly.
We had CDE on our Sun Solaris machine and when KDE started it looked and behaved like KDE (that changed somewhat under Plasma but was workable. Now it is not workable as they have changed to behave like a certain company.
That company believes “it’s software; expect to to buggy and broken and you should get over it (but remember to buy our next buggery major version when we tell you we won’t support the current version.
I stated Lnux when both the kernel and GNU Tools were on 5.25 in floppies and had to buy a X-server to get a graphical interface.
