Opening and cleaning Phonak Audeo Lumity RL Rechargeable Life (Waterproof)

Hello,

Has anyone managed to open and clean the Phonak Lumity Audeo Lumity RL Rechargeable Life (waterproof) hearing aids?

These are not the first hearing aids I have cleaned; I had a pair of Versata before. But with the Lumity, I only managed to take off the bottom cover. Do you have any idea how to take off the top cover for cleaning? The procedure is probably similar to the Paradise waterproof rechargeable.

What cleaning solution do you recommend? Isopropyl alcohol?

PS: from what I see in the picture, changing the battery seems almost impossible. Is that correct?

What’s the purpose of “cleaning” inside like this, are you having some issues with them? But anyways have a read through this post, a lot of work to replace the battery.

For your Audeo Life with inductive charging it will be slightly different.

@tenkan , I’m a person who sweats a lot, that’s why I got waterproof hearing aids. But I’ve had them for a while, and gradually one of them is getting clogged. The filters on the receivers are new, on Bluetooth streaming it sounds balanced, but through the microphones, one is heard more softly. So it almost certainly needs cleaning. I understand that they are waterproof, but they have a membrane over the microphones, and this fills with wax over time.
