Hello everyone,
A month ago, I bought a ReSound Vivia 9 (battery version) as a backup for my ReSound One 9 (sometimes it’s good to have a backup in case it breaks and repairs take time; at least I have one and don’t stress).
I’m struggling a bit with the and frequencies. I’m attaching two photos (one of the ReSound One 9 and one of the ReSound Vivia 9). I tried to copy the audiogram from the ReSound One to the ReSound Vivia, but the sounds are not the ones I was used to, and I don’t know why. Could it be because the two models use different technologies?
The issue started after I installed Smart Fit 2.2. With the ReSound Vivia 9, it shows the audiogram adjusted by the audiologist (by the way, I bought a new laptop to adjust the hearing aids because the old one was a bit unstable). But when I try to connect the ReSound One 9, it does not show the audiogram I had created and saved on the old laptop. Why is that?
Also, could you please explain the difference between the three lines: 80 , 65 dB, and 50 dB, and the frequencies? I would like to understand better.
I mention that I have severe hearing loss and I’ve been used to high frequencies all my life. Before, when I wore the ReSound One (see attached audiogram photo), conversations were excellent, music as well. Now it’s not what it used to be.
Maybe you have some ideas and I can get inspired by you. I’m still adjusting until I get the most natural and comfortable sound possible, clear speech understanding, and good noise separation.
Thank you very much and wishing you all the best! God bless!
