Streamline microphone for Signia/TH 7 RIC

It’s supposedly easy to pair this microphone with my hearing aids. The reason for getting this is there are people who try to talk to me in a noisy room and while I have no problem with understanding people who Enunciate and Project, there are people who speak softly and I can’t understand anything from them.

Please give me some advice on using it and asking people in noisy rooms to use a microphone.

There are two particular individuals I have lunch with in a large room that can be very noisy. These two friends are soft talkers. It’s because of them I looked for the $125 StreamLine mic to see if they can use it.

There’s also another noisy room on my weekly schedule where acquaintances often try to engage in conversations, usually unsuccessfully.

Your problem will be that the Mic may pick up the noise if it’s loud. I use mine to connect with my fire tablet (which I use 99% of the time) so I can watch/listen to whatever while the wife is locked into the Hallmark channel. Also in the car makes it a lot easier to understand the wife.

No, my problem is there’s people who speak softly and they hardly ever change their manner of speaking when i don’t understand everything they speak to me.

In this noisy room even a normal-hearing person can miss some of their words.

The StreamLine mic isn’t a panacea for these situations.

My audiologist gave me good advice to sit facing a wall, preferably a sound-absorbing wall, not facing the noisy room.
