Nathos Nova and Phonak TV Connector

I have a pair of Nathos Nova hearing aids with Bluetooth.

I fancied buying a Phonak tv connector .As far as I can make out I need my Samsung A14 to have 5 g but mine has 3 g. Does that mean a tv connector won’t work with my hearing aids?

Any other suggestions please to make speech much more clear on tv?

I thought of a sound bar but not too oon sure.

?? There is no relation to a phone when connecting aids to the TVC. And it’s not using familiar bluetooth to connect to the TVC. Maybe someone can say whether the Nathos can connect to the TVC. I suspect so, but I’m not certain.

According to Wikipedia a Samsung A14 came as either a 5G or 4G LTE phone so I doubt is your phone is using 3G since I believe that has been disabled.

Anyhow Phonak says you need:

For using the myPhonak app, your phone must fulfill the following minimal requirements:

  • iOS version 15.0 and Bluetooth version 4.2 or newer

  • Android version 8.0 and Bluetooth version 4.2 or newer

Anyhow, Phonak says that this the way to connect to the TV connector.

Make sure your hearing aids are within 1 meter of the TV Connector. Then press the connect button located on the back of the TV Connector. Within 10 seconds, you will hear a confirmation beep indicating your Phonak hearing aids have successfully paired with the TV Connector.

So perhaps you don’t even need a phone.
