Is there a TV Connector lag issue?

IF I could get the proprietary software, I might be able to do something. I am a Pharmacist with strong science background. Plus, I’ve long been serious about music and the use of equalizers!

I’ve tried to get the software with no luck. To be honest, at 79+, I doubt i could conquer it.

Remember, I’ve run into Audiologists who couldn’t fix the issue and they are allegedly trained.

At 65+ this molecular biologist found Target not the most user-friendly software around, but it is usable. Along with the Noahlink hardware this was a lifesaver for my Phonak Audéos. All sessions (and your original configuration) are saved, so no risk for disasters.
My impression is that Phonak’s default setup procedure that lazy audiologists use stinks.

Indeed. In my case Target suggest that I should use M receiver and cShell with 2-3 mm diameter vent (!), which is nonsense.
I had much improvement with very closed power domes with P receiver and currently use even UP with cShell with 0.9 mm diameter vent.

Now I can even watch TV without any intermediary devices and without any additional mental effort (!).

I wonder if it depends on the audio/video source? Cuz when we stream a show direct from Amazon, Netflix or whatever, through our media setup there is NO sound lag. But when we stream from my hubs Mac laptop, there IS indeed some lag. F’instance, we’ll dial up The Economist Insider show, and there’s Zanny Minton Bedoes talking in LAG time. Ack. I live with it cuz it’s the CONTENT that matters. Even if I had to close my eyes and listen to the show like it’s on the radio, I’ll sit through it. :relieved_face:

Hey thanks for reaching out! We have a pretty complicated Marantz media system setup. But I use the Roger ON iN to stream via that setup to the shows we watch. I’m guessing that when we use my hub’s Mac to watch a show, there is lag, cuz that laptop sits on the table in front of him and wirelessly connects to our setup. So I think you just nailed it: my Roger is hooked up to the media setup in our Wizard’s Closet, so if we watch shows from the standalone laptop, there must be some delay factor going on with its wireless connection.

The TVC (or in your case the Roger) is best connected to the last audio output ie. usually the tv itself. Relaying through multiple devices introduces unnecessary complexity and likely lag. Bluetooth in the ’s has lag due to not having the no-lag codec (aptx).

Yep you are right, but luckily, the lag is only on the Mac shows. Our big screen has NO rear side input for the Roger even. It sits set into a cubbyhole on the wall.
