Phonak c-Shells Wax Guards

Heyyy - I miss being on this forum.. but been so crazy busy.
Yes, it is now a long time since I been using the Sphere aids with the c-shells.
The first pair of c-shells lasted way over a year. Actually the wire frayed, or had intermittent problem, but the speakers never had any issue caused by my refusal to wear any wax guards at all!
First thing I do when i get them is remove the filters.
I have a detailed thread on this forum about not using the filters.
And I discuss how I clean them and the vents. Which needs be done regularly.

For me every few weeks or so.
