Sonite Rise

Well still in discovery mode and Costco. I heard Costco is closing some hearing aide centers, staff have told me they don’t get the Mfgr training they used to get. Self serve in the future?

I’ve had the Sonite Rise reduced in power to 70%, yet going back today to try 80%.

I’ve also discovered Noise operation not desirable. If you turn off noise rejection completely, you definitely hear background noise (restaurant). Yet as you increase, voices in front of you get smothered too!

Lastly, I’ve modified programs and they are saved at the end of all programs. Once setup for the day, I disconnect iPhone Bluetooth while wearing to avoid beeps, program defaulting and use buttons manually. Seems I can only cycle thru 1,2 programs manually- Costco called Sennheiser on this and confirmed. Hopefully a bug fix in the future.

Which molds can Costco order for Sennheiser? Is it a more limited menu than from an audiologist as with some of the other brands. Titanium cShells? ActiveVent receivers?

Exactly the same as Phonak, so anything from the them, it’d be a bit slack if they limited it for whatever reason.

Are you sure? This is not the case for Philips aids where some mold options cannot be ordered by Costco.

You should be able to cycle through all the programs that they put in for you plus the last custom program (ie you created) which you selected in app. I have speech in noise, spheric speech in loud noise, acoustic phone, and then three “custom” programs, restaurant, music, and tv. They came preloaded but not provided by my audiologist, and I’ve modified them. Usually cycling through gets me music of the last three. If I want restaurant or tv, then I select them in app. You can go back to automatic, and cycle through with buttons later to the last custom one you picked in app.

my return window expired at Costco for Sonite R. Has anyone asked for credit for new Sonite Rise as it corrects much of problems with Sonite R’s?
