Your aids are like mine they are not Ultras. They need to be updated with the latest firmware. Mine aren’t updated because I got my aids in December from the . I am not sure the VA has the firmware update yet. I have an appointment today, I will see what if any updates my aids get.

Well that sounds like I will not get mine updated today. That is okay as I don’t have any complaints about my Spheres. Just getting an ear mold replaced and some minor adjustments.

I have been getting my aids from the for 20 years and from my present audiologist for 8 years. It is a common thing. I am just getting a few minor adjustments to help me hear better.

I had my audiology appointment today. Still no Ultra firmware update for the Spheres at the VA. More than likely with the May contract renewal.
I did get a replacement custom ear mold for my right aid. I got a number of minor adjustments. My Roger ON3 was set to manual connection instead of automatic. I got mute setting on the hearing aid rocker button. Some minor adjustments to the autosense. My aids no longer goes into speech in noise as quickly. I had the Bluetooth streaming set so my hearing aids microphones are as low as possible. My right aid got a slight increase in volume. My audiologist did a new feedback test and a check. You have to understand my aids are never set by the REM. It is only done to verify the aids and receivers.

Thank you, good to know. I need that autosense adjustment as well, quite annoying the way it is now, especially so with the “toodly-doo” sound when it goes back to my saved mod :). I have a follow up next month, should have some good notes to take in. Great audi there.

My grandmother taught me to journal when I was in elementary school and I have done it ever since. Now days it is a journal app on my devices.
And with my daughter’s help all of my journals have been digitalised.

I have an appointment with the to get Sphere’s during the second week of May. Are they likely to be the Ultra’s? I didn’t know enough to ask at the time of my hearing test/fitting a couple of days ago.
The Phonak website shows the Ultra’s as being available to the VA now. If they are just the regular Sphere’s and not the Ultra’s would it be likely that the firmware could be updated by the VA?
Thanks.

contract as of the first of May is for the Ultras. I have the Spheres that aren’t updated to Ultras but not having any issues so not in a hurry to get them updated. I have an appointment for late July for my annual hearing exam, my aids will be updated then.

Thanks for that information. Maybe I got lucky then. My fitting was on May 5 and I’m supposed to get the aids on June 10. I posted the wrong date on my original message.
Good luck with your firmware upgrade.
