If ever there was a time for manufacturers to come out with new power aids, it’s now. Simply because baby boomers are in their peak (age spread range), or close to it. Now we know a good majority of baby boomers do not need hearing aids, and certainly most do not need power hearing aids. With that said, though, with a very large aging population throughout the world, you would think the timing is perfect for Oticon to upgrade its Xceed power aid and for Phonak to upgrade the Lumity. Since you’d certainly see more volume in sales (in power aids) now versus, say, five or ten years down the road. Clock is ticking.
