Noahlink Wireless 2 on Mac mini M4 or MacBook Air

Last year I bought Phonak Sphere I90-R.

I’ve had major distortion and speech clarity issues after the Ultra firmware update. Numerous adjustments, aids were rebuilt and now I have an additional “Trial” pair that have not had the firmware update. Still struggling to understand conversations, especially at work.

I’m hoping programming may help, however I have a newer Mac mini M4 and a MacBook Air (1.8 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5). Does anyone have experience with using the Noahlink Wireless 2 with either of these?

Would I be better off purchasing a cheaper laptop and if so, what specs should I look for?

I use my old MacBook Air for everything including self-programming with Phonak Target and Noahlink Wireless. I have Windows installed with Boot Camp and have no difficulties at all.

Thank you for your response, Gilbert. I feel better knowing I’m not the only one with a Mac.

What version of Windows did you install?

My Audiologist said that she uses Windows 10 and is hoping she doesn’t have to update or the software won’t work.

You should just use a cheap win10 laptop for ease of use if possible, as the software is windows based, your Noahlink wireless will be fine on Intel as it’s only the ARM based that has driver issues (some members have found a workaround) I’m sure @Gilbert could walk you through a set up for Apples.

You should be able to install Windows 10 by just following the directions in Boot Camp Assistant. (It’s in the Utilities section)
If that becomes a hassle then I would do as @tenkan suggests and just get a cheap PC with Windows 10 already installed.

Thank you for the advice, tenkan. I decided to go with your suggestion and was able to get a deal on a win 10 laptop. Both the laptop and the noahlink have arrived, so now I just need to get the software. I’ve been toying with going the diy route for years, so I’m excited yet nervous.

Great, sounds like you’re on your way, as you have the Noahlink wireless already I’m sure you’ll be up and running in no time!
