Do you 'rotate' two or more pair of hearing aids on a regular/or as needed basis? (I have three pair.)

I have a backup set of aids and wear them one day a month to keep the batteries healthy.

I use whatever is the most advanced/recent technology exclusively. Just keep the prior pair for back up. I want to hear with the latest settings and adjustments!

I also have three pair. I wear one pair during the day and another pair at night. I wear the third pair occasionally just to keep them in the loop.

My hearing is steadily declining, so there’s no point in doing this. I keep the most recent pair as backup and donate the older ones to be reconditioned for elderly people who can’t afford them in LTC.

Thanks for the replies, I don’t know anyone who wears , so didn’t know if I was ‘normal’.

For the record, my hearing was damaged in Vietnam, so the supplies my hearing aids. But when one of the rechargeable batteries died, there was a very long wait for appointment/repairs. So I bought Miracle Ear $7,000 HAs, figuring I would have a pair and a spare. MEs were much better, newer tech and better fit.

But…

I was still curious about what else was out there. I tried Sony CRE E10, self fitting. About $900 new or $400 used on EBay. They are all day comfortable, and to me, the sound is as good as the MEs. I don’t use the streaming or Bluetooth.

From there, I went to Signal Active Pro IX. Very similar to the Sonys, but with more advanced tech. I’m wearing them now, and quite satisfied. (They are available to Vets through the VA.) Still, long waits, so I bought them myself when they had a good sale online.

That’s my three pair. I don’t rotate the VA aids, but keep them handy. Thanks again for replies.
