After using Resound LN7 hearing aids that died after the 6 years of hard use I thought against my better judgment that I would try phonak for the third time. Everything I dislike about the phonak hearing aids the first time and the second time are all the things I dislike about them now. I just picked this set up today from my audiologist and they’ll be going back in a couple days. I’ve tried phone act three times now over the last 25 years. I can honestly say this was the biggest mistake I’ve made when it comes to hearing aids. Price isn’t that big of a concern and I can get much better quality for around the same money. I gave it an honest shot the third time around and by golly this is the last time! I won’t be fooled again.

So what don’t you like about the Spheres. My Spheres are my first time with Phonak after 6 sets of Oticon aids. I absolutely love the Spheres.

Everything. There’s nothing about them that I like at all. The Bluetooth connectivity sucks the tinnitus manager sucks. The right one doesn’t want to stay connected and even when it stays connected to my phone I can’t hear anything out of it. I knew it was a bad sign when my audiologist was calibrating them and the right one dropped out completely forcing her to have to do it all over again. And again. And again. Same problem I had with the last set I tried same problem I had with the set before that. I honestly went into this with an open mind but less than 6 hours later I realize they’re garbage.

I have to say I agree with Chuck. I’ve had mine a year. I love them. They’re not perfect, but I like them a lot in tough noise situations.

Each of us are definitely different. I have had tinnitus for over 50 years. My tinnitus is bad without my aids on, nut just having my aids on without any tinnitus relief is my tinnitus relief. I love the Bluetooth Classic, it is so much more useful than Bluetooth ever was too me.
I go back to my Oticon INTENT1 aids at least one day each month to keep the batteries health. I am getting where I don’t want to wear them anymore.

I’ve tried phonak hearing aids three separate times in my life. Everything don’t act the first time were the same things that sucked about phonak the second time and they’re the same things that suck about phonak hearing aids this year. I convinced myself to try them again against my better judgment I gave them an honest shot and they’re not worth the money I paid for them and thank God we have the ability to try a hearing aid and make up our minds. I knew that I should have gone with another brand. I did and I’m blissfully happy because I don’t have any of the problems that I had with phonak.

Have you tried another audiologist? Seems that yours don’t feel confident with fitting Phonak hearing aids. No wonder then that you may have a worse experience with fitting these hearing aids.

For what I read, you expect that hearing aids should work perfectly from the first appointment. Unfortunately, this is usually not the case, it requires a lot of patience. I see you’re strongly prejudiced and therefore having no patience for fitting.

For me, Bluetooth connectivity is great, battery life - great, noise reduction - life-changing.

She’s completely competent she’s qualified she’s been certified for years she does a damn good business and she has no problem recommending phonak. Your insults are not necessary. 30 years with hearing aids. I’ve tried them three separate times and every time they’ve been a dumpster fire compared to other brands I’ve used. It was a mistake it was my fault she never said anything derogatory about phone act and she said a lot of the young people love them. I’ve done my research and they’re frankly just complete crap compared to other so-called budget hearing aids available. Their app sucks as well. The tinnitus manager is pure crap. ReSound put out a better quality hearing aid with a much better quality app 7 or 8 years ago. Widex makes a much better hearing aid it’s reliable it does more and I’ve never had a problem with them. The only thing phonak did well was when I was outdoors. And it’s not my phone but it was a brand new Samsung with plenty of memory and plenty of storage space it’s stable as hell but the app isn’t. If you want to spend your money on phonak and go right ahead. I know I will never again give them one dime of my money just so I can return them again. I believe the horse s*** I saw online but now I think those were nothing more than paid reviews and on top of that they were uncomfortable as hell and they stood out like a sore thumb behind my ear. You can’t wear glasses with them comfortably. If you like them great mine don’t really care but I’m not ever going to make that mistake again. Like they say fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me then I’ll be damned if they’re going to fool me a third time.
