Can I intrude with a question on connecting to these systems?
As I understand it, one uses ones smartphone running the app to find the Auracast broadcast.
So then does the app tell the aids…this one …and the aids do all the receiving? Or does the app relay the audio to the aids like bluetooth? That is, what if one turns off the smartphone?
And I guess the smartphone needs to support bluetooth 5.3+ that has Auracast built-in?

The app talks with the aids. The aids tell the app what broadcast(s) are available. The app tells the aids which broadcast to use. The aids do all the receiving. My understanding is that the smartphone does not need to have .

This is correct .
For instance, the Resound Vivia: while the iPhone lacks and capabilities, you can still use Auracast with the hearing aids.

Oh! The other way around from my thinking. So may I express this in my words.
So the aids pick up all the available sites (likely only the one in your vicinity) and tells the app all the available sites and then you find the one you want in the list (connecting to the app via bluetooth). Tap that, and then optionally turn off the phone. Correct?

I have an early system (HomeSpot BA210 V1 transmitter and JM320 headphones). If I use the Auracast Explorer app that I installed on my Samsung Galaxy A15, it can see the transmitter even when the JM320 headphones are turned off. I have to conclude that there is something else going on in the first step of the process.
The transmitter and headphones will work without the phone - they were delivered preconfigured. I initially started using the system without using the phone at all.

Your phone (and my A25) supports BT5.3 that has included.
Edit to add: So that opened up an avenue of exploration. I can install that app on my phone. I can NOT install it on my older phone that does not have at least BT5.2.
So then can I use the phone to connect to an Auracast site and relay the audio to my aids via classic bluetooth which is supported on my KS10’s?
Using the link from the OP, I can not find any Auracast sites near me anyway.
