ReSound Unite TV Streamer 2 pairing

Have recently bought a used “ReSound Unite TV Streamer 2” to pair with my ReSound hearing Aids (bought from Specsavers as type Advance 665). The The Aids are linked to my Mobile Phone by Bluetooth using the BeMore App.
I’ve connected the Streamer to the power supply and connected it to my TV using “digital Audio Out/Optical” (which shows a laser light through the cable, so is working).
I have a ReSound Multi Mic paired with my aids (which works brilliantly) so chose to pair the TV Streamer on channel 2, which required the paring button to be pressed twice. Followed the manual instructions and my aids gave the “connected melody” and the device showed up on my App on my Mobile App – but am getting no TV sound through the Aids.
When I select the Streamer on my App it indicates a connection but shuts down shortly afterwards suggesting it’s getting no signal.
The Streamer shows a constant green power light but the yellow Activity Light only lit during the pairing process (flashing twice every few seconds during the pairing process) not sure if it should remain lit when active?.
I guess I’m doing something wrong but don’t know what – or is the Unit duff?
Any thoughts would be welcome.

Check the connection from the tv, swap the cables as in try different connections to check if you can get sound, 3.5mm, RCA etc next check your TV settings for audio out? and yes I think the light is on when steaming. Your allowed a Max of 3 device paired so you should be good there.

Thanks Tenkan, your advice was really helpful. As you advised I tried swapping the connection cables. First tried the mini-jack to the “Headphone” socket on the TV. It worked but although I could hear through the ear phones the speakers on the TV were off. Makes sense – why would you want to listen to headphones and the speakers at the same time! Trying the headphone socket did light the yellow light of the Streamer so it had proved your point about it being lit all the time. I’d also noticed that when unplugging the Digital Optical connection it was noisy and suggested a poor connection. Fortunately I’d got a ‘quality’ Fibre Optical cable from a previous use, so tried that. Worked perfectly – Streamer light on and sound on both the TV speakers and the Earphones. All that remains is for me to work out how to switch the Streamer on/off and connect with the earphones. The manual is somewhat unclear. I find no problem with the ReSound Multi Mic (which you guided me on – many thanks) as that has an on/off switch and I have no problem with selecting the Streamer on the App but the Streamer doesn’t have an on/off switch. I’ve just purchased a used ReSound Unite Remote Control 2 and am awaiting delivery so hope that will help – and improve the volume control which is not brilliant from the Streamer unit. Again am more than grateful for your excellent help and support – thanks. Phil
