What receivers are you using?

My Intent1 aids have the 105db receivers and my audiologist said my Phonak Spheres are the same power range.

Looks like it’s a UP receiver.

Most audiologist set hearing aids for comfortable sound levels or between 80 and 90 percent of prescription levels. My aids at some frequencies in the 1500 to 4000 hertz range is set to as much as 110% of my prescription to help me understand speech. My hearing loss is a genetic cookie bite made worse by 8 years of military service.

Your hearing loss is very specific to a few frequencies.

Female voices are likely to be a problem. When the gain is significantly increased in those ranges, then fidelity is lost and voices sound sharper, tinny, etc. There’s not much that can be done if clarity is the goal. Clarity is more important than the exact pitch.
