My Phonak in ear hearing aids have a loose “collar” that surrounds and keeps the filter inserted. The collar actually came out when changing the filter so I pushed it back on. Do they wear out and if so can I get new ones? Please and thank you!

The “collar” will eventually end up in your ear canal requiring removal. I would recommend sending it into the manufacturer and get them to re-glue it in and cure the glue using UV light. They’ll probably service your devices at the same time as a bonus.

This is a pretty common problem with Virto because without a dome the often need to be changed pretty often.

The collar is the receiver basket (sound outlet port). Don’t put it back in. A lot of times your audi can secure it using a UV curing resin, and you’re good to go. If it gets pushed into the receiver, then the aid has to go in for repairs.

Yeah, had this with my customs too — the UV resin fix works great. Taking it in to your audi is way less hassle than shipping it off.
